Hello Folks I am curious about the lag time to receive proceeds once a well has been completed. SWN drilled 4 wells near our land in Pelican, LA. The well numbers are:

  • BrushyG 33 & 4 11 – 12 HC #1 SN 253481
  • BrushyG 33 & 4 11 – 12 HC #2 SN 253482
  • BrushyG 33 & 4 11 – 12 HC #3 SN 253483
  • BrushyG 33 & 4 11 – 12 HC #4 SN 253484

If I am reading Sonris correctly they show the wells were put into production at the first of May 2023. We have not gotten division orders or revenue statements as of yet. Is a 3+ month delay normal?

Thanks for any insight you may have.

Yes. Got the division order 9/28 and first pay was 8/29 for six months. They took Fed w/h out because they had not sent the DO or request for w9. I just got a Chesapeake DO on one of SWN wells so curious to see what the deal is with that.

I sure hope they do not sell to Chesapeake...they are not fair at al!!!

Better hope you have a good "no cost" lease regardless of what happens

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
