Welcome new member!! Glad to see you joined. I've been checking this site since sometime in August. I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to oil and gas; however, Ive learned a lot from this website. Hope Jackson Parish gets a piece of the pie!!

I don't live in Jackson parish, but I own property there located in sec 2 twp 14N range 1E, and sec 35 twp 15 range 1E. Glad to have found this suite Its seems to be very helpful, hope other will join to help support this parish with questions and answers that will be beneficial.

My property description is a little off in the previous post. Actually, my Jackson parish property is in Twnship 14N Range 4W. That puts this property near Bienville and Winn parishes. The Twnship 11N Range 6W is in Natchitoches parish. I am distantly related to those Watts's you know near Weston.

To Michael:
My property is located in Township 15N Range 2W. Weston area. I don't know exactly where that fits in on the map. I read a few weeks ago that EXCO Resources (I believe they are the company that accquired Vernon Field from Anadarko) was going to increase their budget for 2008 in order to focus on their shale assests. The article stated that they will accquire leases north of Vernon. Doesn't help us that much, but it is progress. I'll try to find that article and post website if I can find it again. I need to start printing a hard copy of these articles if I find them, cause I usually forget where I read this stuff. By the way, I know some Watts's.

Thanks for the advice Gray. I tend to be very gullible. If it were not for this website, when the day comes, I would have probably been a landowner that signed for $100/acre and 1/8 royalty. So glad I did find the website and get a chance to talk with very knowledgeable people, such as yourself. I love the optimism. I leased my property 3 years ago, and found out on this website that the company I leased to was sued by various Jackson Parish landowners for fraud. How scary is that? If an offer ever comes my way, I will definitely research and post it here to get the awesome advice that so many of these great people have to offer. I usually don't post very much here, but I log on every day to read about the most recent activity and thoughts of others. Haynesville was very smart to make this website. I'm obsessed and I love reading all the comments!

I own a few acres in twn 11N, R 6W. That is in the southwest corner of Jackson Parish. Hope you stay on top of all the news as I check this site daily.

Yeah! Finally got a few members. Thanks Gray for coming. Do you have property in JP? Can't wait for the day when I can post what offers I've gotten. I know the day will come. :)
