Brwtrpilot, never heard of Petroboss and could not find them on sonris. I would recommend Mike Coyle in Ruston if you need a attorney. He is a fine oil and gas attorney.

I don't know yet but from what I can gather over the one phone call
is that PetorBoss was there in 06-07 time period..
Will just have to wait.. So tapping foot here waiting on the USPService...

What section are you in? Can't say I've ever heard of "PETROBOSS". May not be much involved now but you never know what may turn up in the future.

Arkiegirl, Thank you.. wise words. well it does look like it is me..
The company says they just found me.. They want me to confirm
who I am etc.. that is ok. I got in touch with the clerk and was floored
with the amount of land that is involved with this>. I am just a regular working class stiff.. but from what I can gather pertoboss?? had been doing stuff on the land with out my knowledge.. So yeah law dog may be in order here.. I have sent an email to PetroBoss asking for information
on what they were doing.. Looks to be a Drama who knows...
but depending on what info I gather from the clerk office and what the first firm says I will see if it is worth my time to mess with it..
reading this board and others and trying to get up to speed....

Don't do anything, do not sign anything. Do you live in the area? If you do, find a good O&g lawyer. Start learning everything you can about leases and royalty income. GHS is a good place to start. Just don't let someone take advantage of you.

First time post and know NOTING about royalty income or the such..
But this is my situation and kinda need some help..
My family just got a letter from a very big firm saying they needed to
talk to me about royalty from my fathers estate.. OK he passed away
around 16 years ago.. I do have a distant memory about him talking about this but heck I was very young.. I have not talked with these people as of yet I figure they are going to call Monday sometime early...
What would you do?? I am at a loss.. the rights have been in the family
for over 30 years I would guess.

I don't think there will be any shale play in this area. But Section 12 had a new well drilled a few months ago and it came in around 3.5 mmcfd. It is now making a little over 1mmcfd. Not a bad well.

Hi, I'm very new to all this so bear with me, I have rights in the west simsboro field (s12,r18n, t4w) can anyone tell me anything about this area. I do know that indigo has drilled a new well in that area. Is this a possible future shale area?
