Is the Hancock Smith GU 1 #2H a Haynesville well. Does anyone know about this well. I got a check and it produced a lot of condensate and products which is unusual for Haynesville.

Our family currently has 300 + acres in the Panola County( william- Tippet survey) area open for lease. Has anyone heard of any signing in this area?

E.TX Drilling 8/15 & 8/22/2010:

Completions:

Williamson 2 has been completed by Sojitz Energy in South Carthage Field. This well is 6.6 miles southwest of Clayton at 11,285 feet. On 14/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 152,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in Cotton Valley formation.


On 20/64-inch choke, the Werner 1H potentialed 11.151 million cubic feet of gas. Chesapeake drilled to 15,505 feet, 14.4 miles southeast of Carthage in Carthage Field. Production is in Haynesville Shale formation.


The Mae Sealey A3 has been completed by Chevron in Carthage Field. The well is 5.8 miles southwest of Beckville at 10,065 feet and flowed with 22 barrels of crude. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.


Devon Energy drilled the John Burton 25 in the Carthage Field and the Lewis 4 in the Bethany Field. The Burton bottoms at 9,758 feet and potentialed 2.074 million cubic feet of gas on adjustable choke. Production is in Cotton Valley formation. No. 4 bottoms at 9,000 feet and potentialed 89,000 cubic feet of gas on adjustable choke. Production is in the Travis Peak Consolidated formation.


On 18/64-inch choke, the Billy Harris Hay Gas 1H potentialed 5.817 million cubic feet of gas. Goodrich Petroleum drilled to 17,640 feet, four miles southwest of Tatum in the Carthage Field. Production is in the Haynesville Shale formation.


SM Energy completed the Howard 1 in the Centennial Field 7 miles southeast of DeBerry. This well bottoms at 10,109 feet and potentialed 56,400 cubic feet of gas on a 64/64-inch choke. Production is in the Travis Peak 6700 formation.


Patara Oil & Gas completed two wells in the Beckville Field.


The Weir Estate Well No. 3 hit 10,647 feet 12.1 miles northwest of Carthage and potentialed 505,000 cubic feet of gas on a 24/64-inch choke.


The C. Brooks Well No. 11 hit 10,266 feet 12.8 miles northwest of Carthage and potentialed 1.031 million cubic feet of gas on a 20/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley.


Patara Oil & Gas completed three wells in the Carthage Field.


The Dobbins GU Well No. 3 hit 10,325 feet 12.6 miles northwest of Carthage and potentialed 1.449 million cubic feet of gas on a 20/64-inch choke.


The Taylor Heirs Well No. 6 hit 10,418 feet 12.6 miles southwest of Carthage and potentialed 1.187 million cubic feet of gas on a 20/64-inch choke.


The Taylor Heirs Well No. 7 hit 10,260 feet 12.6 miles southwest of Carthage and potentialed 1.142 million cubic feet of gas on a 20/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley.


Devon Energy completed the Markey Gas Unit Well No. 1H hit 15,450 feet 9.2 miles southwest of Carthage in the North Carthage Field. On an adjustable choke the well potentialed 2.364 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Bossier Shale.

Developmental:

J.C. Guill 8 will be drilled 8.9 miles east of Carthage in Carthage (Travis Peak-Collins) Field by Harleton Oil & Gas. It will bottom at 6,800 feet in B. Strickland, A-587. The well may also be drilled in Carthage (Travis Peak 6310), Carthage (Travis Peak 6400) or Carthage (Travis Peak-Smith) fields.


Chevron will drill the Penna Sikes 5 in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field to 10,500 feet, 17.3 miles east from Carthage in J.W. Sikes Survey, A-822. This well may also be drilled in Carthage (Travis Peak) Field.


Ten miles northwest of Carthage in Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field, the Freeman Gas 17 will be drilled by Anadarko E&P. It will bottom at 11,000 feet in the E.L. Martin, Survey, A-447.

Completions:


Anadarko E&P completed the CGU 5 Well No. 19 to 9,968 feet 3.5 miles southwest of Carthage in the Carthage Field. On an adjustable choke the well potentialed 1.237 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley.


ConocoPhillips Co. completed the Ashton 2 Unit Well No. 17 to 9,520 feet 6.4 miles southeast of Carthage in the Carthage Field. The well potentialed 599,000 cubic feet of gas on a 48/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley.


The Hull Unit A Well No. A 103H was completed by Devon Energy in the Carthage Field. The well hit 14,888 feet 3.8 miles northeast of Carthage. On an adjustable choke the well potentialed 335,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.


Anadarko E&P completed three new wells. The CGU 1 Well No. 14 hit 9,960 feet 1.9 miles southwest of Carthage and potentialed 933,000 cubic feet of gas on an adjustable choke.


The CGU 11 Well No. 21 hit 9,960 feet 4.1 miles northwest of Carthage and potentialed 838,000 cubic feet of gas on an adjustable choke.


The CGU 11 Well No. 22 hit 9,692 feet 1.9 miles southwest of Carthage and potentialed 801,000 cubic feet of gas on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley.

Anadarko E&P completed the CGU 16 Well No. 19 to 11,000 feet in a lease 4.7 miles northwest of Carthage, in the Carthage Field. On an adjustable choke the well potentialed 356,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley.


The Mauritzen Gas Unit Well No. 2 has been completed by Fortson Oil to 9,855 feet 3.1 miles northeast of Long Branch in the Carthage Field. On a 20/64-inch choke the well potentialed 1.635 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley.

The Carthage Gas Unit 13 Well No. 17H was completed to 15,075 feet 5.2 miles northeast of Carthage in the Carthage Field by BP America Production. On an adjustable choke the well potentialed 3.461 million cubic feet of gas in the Haynesville Shale.


XTO Energy completed the W.L. Liston Well No. 7H to 17,014 feet 5.5 miles northwest of DeBerry in the Carthage Field. On a 17/64-inch choke the well potentialed 5.538 million cubic feet of gas in the Haynesville Shale.


Anadarko E&P completed the CGU 5 Well No. 18 to 9,858 feet 3.2 miles southwest of Carthage in the Carthage Field. On an adjustable choke the well potentialed 1.384 million cubic feet of gas in the Cotton Valley.


XTO Energy completed the Louis Werner Sawmill Well No. 13H to 15,058 feet 3.1 miles southwest of DeBerry in the Carthage Field. On a 24/64-inch choke the well potentialed 3.279 million cubic feet of gas in the Haynesville Shale.


Anadarko E&P completed the Freeman Gas Unit Well No. 16 and the Searcy Gas Unit Well No. 18.


The No. 16 hit 10,255 feet 10.4 miles northwest of Carthage in the Carthage Field. On a 26/64-inch choke the well potentialed 816,000 cubic feet of gas in the Cotton Valley formation.


The No. 18 hit 10,105 feet 9.1 miles northwest of Carthage in the West Beckville Field. On an adjustable choke the well potentialed 1.607 million cubic feet in the Cotton Valley.

Panola County

Anadarko E&P completed the Gary Gas Unit Well No. 10H to 11,553 feet .5 miles northwest of Gary in the Carthage Field.


On a 42/64-inch choke the well potentialed 5.230 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley.


On an adjustable choke the Longino, et al Unit Well No. 14 potentialed 1.574 million cubic feet of gas. This well was completed by Lacy Operations to 9,858 feet 7.2 miles northeast of Beckville in the Carthage Field. Production is in the Cotton Valley.
