Drove east down 103 and your right jffree1 there is a big pad being built just west of 96. We also took a drive by the Blackstone well and the rig is still up.

Someone left me a note last night about the location I asked about. Rumor is that it will be a SWD well which makes sense considering that the one across the road was never approved.
Also, there is a LOT of PVC pipe stacked in a yard behind the Shell station at the 147/103 intersection.

ALongview, yes, formation tops.
om28v, I did look at it and then forgot all about it. But, I never connected it with the Stokes 1. Seems like there was some discussion when it was permitted because of the target formation which is considerably deeper than 5800' but would be about right for maybe the Saratoga. JMO, but something is odd about this permit.

Did you notice that the Stokes Blackstone SBK was submited for re-enter on 12/10/09 ( just West of all of this a touch ) now Pine Grove SWD by Longbranch Energy,LP ? Maybe something happening in these parts. 6100 ft, oil?

Jffree1, Was that the top of the Bossier that was noted at 13280'?
Comment by jffree1 on February 5, 2010 at 15:24
It looks like the TVD on the final completion was 12,430'. The Bossier was noted at 13,280' and the CV Lime at 13,950'.
The producing interval was 12,387' to 12,430' TVD.

om28v, I was just looking at the reports on the Stokes 1. It went to the HA Lime but they didn't try to produce it and no test on record. It was eventually sidetracked from a James Lime horizontal that was unsuccessful. It did produce from the Cotton Valley "B" Lime in a horizontal completion.
And, yes, this would be very near that well. The stokes was just a little further west, I believe, on the south side of 103.

jffree1, wouldn't that location be on the other side of the Hwy of the Marathon Stokes 1 that was drilled and re-completed in 1997-98? That well was permitted to 18k feet and looks like it ended up being @ 14370 feet. Is there any way that could be a HS well? At the the top of the completion information it says "High Cost Tight Sands" and I don't believe I've seen that before. What interval did/is that producing from? It says cotton valley B lime? Do we know the TVD? TIA
