Ick! ....

Devon brought in the King GU 1H that potentialed 2,000 cubic feet of gas??? That's per the Tyler Paper drilling report posted on Sunday, January 30th ... they had a period in their copy, but I assumed it to be a decimal.

Either way, I think I can get that much natural gas from a can of beans washed down with a couple of cans of beer! Dang, this getting rich on O&G in modern days just isn't the same thing that Jed Clampett did, is it?

Do you guys know how much (percentage or fraction) you own? I've seen where it's decided to pay a set fee to mineral owners inducing them to lease. In the old days, $50 - $100 was decided, which were ridiculous and in the range of $500 / net acre (before the boom). I've also seen a company man decide to pay a flat "$100, regardless of how much each Lessor owns". The more interest a person owns, the worse the deal is, the less a person owns, the better deal it is. I still haven't figured Paloma out... they buy leases within the "big company" maps that can be found on the internet - - however, I don't remember seeing them permit / drill a well. If you know how much interest you own (or how much Paloma or Cabot says you own), I might be able to get more $$$ to you.

My mom was one of many heirs to 135 acres in San Augustine,TX and 93 acres in Shelby County,TX. Other family members received bonus Payment Vouchers and Paid Up Oil and Gas Lease from Cabot in July for the San Augustine interest. My 2 siblings and I have never been contacted about the San Augustine minerals. Paloma Resources recently sent us a Payment Voucher for $150 each and a lease document for 3 yrs. @ 25% royalty in October. What should we do?

anybody know about anything happening in Hurstown. No replies yet to my post about the George Neil Survey. XTO says they're about to drill 2 wells very soon.

Kelly Swanson, please read my August 27 comment to BillyBob. When you add a discussion you have control over replies to that discussion and right now... yours is closed to replies. You will not get an answer to your questions unless you fix it.
