Could you provide..... maybe... uh.... your "groups" info??
Comment by lifesaver on June 25, 2008 at 6:04
Our group is not giving a % of royalty's.That would be stupid.

Hey.... ?!?!?

The meeting I went to at Southwood the lawyer guy also said... "it is better to just pay a fee instead of agreeing to options like:

1. 1 percent of each person's royalty payment.
2. 4 percent of their up-front money.

Also some "alarmtist" woman took the mic at the end of the night warning evryone to stay away from "rip-off artist" offering deals like that above???

When I went to the meeting at Southwood.. it was just an infomational meeting didn't really hear anything thing I hadn't heard before from just talking to people.

The laywer said he would be interested in representing the group, but no paper work was passed out at that meeting to join together???

Obviously, I missed the next meeting because from these post I can see some kinda form was passed out to form a group...

Where can I get the form, copies of the agreement or information on the group to sign up???

I would do thorough research before I give anyone a percentage of my royalty. It would be a good idea to contact a good oil & gas attorney before doing this. Just don't want anyone to be taken advantage of.

Tommy

The email address you posed lsuque@comcast.net
that is the group were going with. The one where there were 300 people are better from what i understand.
I do not think this is the same group. That church is small and I do not think it can handle 300 people there. It might me a new group that is trying to start up.
I got a letter posted on my door today about this meeting.I will go to see what is all about.I think if it were the same guy he would have contacted us about a new meeting.

I received a letter at my door today about a meeting at the crosspoint church its right next to deep-woods neighborhood.
What I am confused about is..Is this a different group from the group that all meet up at Southwood high school last week?Reason I am asking is because there was a sign out in front of our street telling everyone that lived in deep-woods to go to this meeting.
Now from what I understand the more people we have the more leverage we have to get more money per acre.

Is this group some new group trying to organize separate.I think all of us should stick to one group and not break into all these little groups.

Seems to me that all this should be more organized that it is.Because so many people do not know where to turn.

From the meeting we went too at South wood High school. We are going to have an Attorney to represents us there were about 300 people at this meeting and all said they were going to let this group handle the negotiations for us.So I am going with that group.I will however show up at this other meeting at this Church to see what its about. But remember the larger our group the more we can get so thats why i am sticking with the group we went too the other night 300 people strong and a lot of them were also living in the Deep woods/Burgundy ridge/Burgundy Oaks area off of Williamson way

Tommy,

What group is the meeting at that Church for? Is that the group from section 11? I do not know the name of the man in charge of the Southern Hills group but his email address is LSUQUE@comcast.net.

Would anyone know why two Johnson Branch wells show the same production?
