My fingers are crossed..hoping for the best!!! Good luck everyone!!!
I have my fingers, toes, and everything else possible crossed for good news. Let's hope that this is the start of a big gold rush in Rapides Parish.
I have a feeling that we will hear tomorrow since Halcon is presenting at the Howard Weil Energy Conference according to their website. Hope that it puts a big grin on everybody's face.
Keep your fingers crossed Jean this may be the one that makes or breaks this play.
I "heard" that soon there will be news on how the Broadway well will be doing...
Go 17 miles South of the Purple Heart Bridge on Hwy 1 and turn right on Guy Peart Rd. It is just North of Echo.

The Lambright was cored and there was not enough shale in the formation to make it economical to drill a horizontal out of the well. Halcon made the anouncement and put it on their website last week. The $1000 has been in place around the Broadway well for months $500 for 3 year primary term and $500 for a 2 year option to extend or Halcon's offer of $800 for a 5. year extension.I doubt if you could find many acres to lease anywhere around the Broadway well.
does anyone know if the lambright well was cored?
Does the plugged hole on lambright kill the play for mineral owners on twin bridges?

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
