I "heard" that the rig that they are dismantling at the Broadway site is being moved to Woodworth at another site and if it does as well as the Broadway.... then Halcon is going to drill 200 more wells in Rapides Parish....

The "rumor" is that they will start today dismantling at the Broadway well and put the oil pump...

I just drove by the well site and the Trinadad 117 is still upright and on location.

re; Broadway property......This might be another "rumor" but I heard that they are moving the platform (the thing that looks like a tower) to another area and they are going to put a pumping rig  there.

Quit believing rumors. If you add up the offer of $500 for a 3 year paid up lease with a 5 year option to extend for $800 you get $1300 per acre for the lease. This is what is fueling the rumors. The option to extend is not paid up front but 3 years out and may not be paid at all. I don't doubt that the the folks that granted the lease didn't add the two together, many want to crow and act like they got more than their neighbor.

From my understanding the leasing going on in Northern Grant and Southern Winn Parishes is for the Moringsport Formation. Looks like Devon may have a good one in Winn Parish because they are keeping it tight lipped. Robert Stroud drilled one that came in as a barn burner to the North end of Iatt lake several years back and it was on property that Devon owned the minerals.

Halcon's Broadway H1 is in the process of drilling the lateral as reported Tuesday (12/18) - the well has not been completed so I suggest that any reports of oil are premature.  For periodic updates on the well's progress, just go to the well file in the state database.

I was wrong about two wells on the Broadway property being dug...when they didn't hit anything at the first required depth, they were told to go down another 1500 ft and then they hit oil.. so it was just one well not two...
