They are leasing...Par,Teche,Pride,Devon,Mark V, and Mustang are the opnes I know about. How deep would the Wilcox be found?

For those that want to lease their property in the Deville area....I think Pride is working that area...

* stratum not strata

Wilcox is a strata - just like Austin chalk, TMS, brown dense, etc.

Which co's in Grant are leasing? you said buying up leases..... are they literally buying leases or leasing?

What is the wilcox???? I have a little land close to Montgomery and have been notified by Pride for a lease but the offer was so low that I decided I would wait for something better, hopefully. There are about 6 oil and gas companies buying up leases in the northeast of Grant Parish but they are all low offers...the best being $150 an acre with 20% royalties.....has anybody heard of anything better?

As far as the Broadway well, I have heard that the person that drilled the well said that it was the best that he has done so far...  the first one was dry so they drilled a second one close by and it seems to be a good one..
