We received our first royalty check for the Longleaf well in Caddo Parish, payable by Chesapeake. We never signed a lease because we were not aware of a lease offer. Chesapeake said the land was leased in 2018 and we should have received lease papers by mail. Is there any way we can find out more about this well? See More

Have to be? Depends upon what it would take from a local planning & zoning and/or building permit process to say. As Skip alludes, the burden is upon the surface / mineral owner to seek proper spacing as the well was there…"
