Joan, last year you stated you had mineral rights on some property that was exappropriated by the state. We had similar property exappropriated about 1946, Caddo Parish does not seem to have a record of the specific conveyance on file. Would you happen to know where to find it? They have a lot of conveyances, etc back to 1927 but not that one. I know my father owned the property because I lived on it. Should I contact the State Highway Dept.

Sounds like we're in the same boat for now. I guess they will get around to us eventually. Or not. Thanks for getting back to me and if I hear anything I'll let you know.

Hi Joan,
We are dealing with full sections. Some are already leased, some are not. They want it, (The gas co.) no matter where it is and remember they can drill hortizontally, I believe up to two miles underground.

Look at the bottom of the mainpage on this site. Remember, those are just things to consider. They are NOT legal documents. Unless you are a large landowner you are likely not going to need most of them.
