Has anyone else received a royalty check from Anadarko for production in Sec 6, T 19N, R 14W?

We received a check from Anadarko yesterday, but there was no indication as to the location of the well.  We don't own any other mineral rights in Caddo Parish.  The check indicates that it is in payment for gas and condensate production.  The earliest production date shown is 12/13/2013.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Do you have the serial number of the well?

The name of he well should also be on the check stub.

I may have, Two Dogs, Pirate.  There's a line on the statement that reads, "Property: 11382000001,  Comegys  6-7H 1" and seems to be for gas production.  The next line is listed as condensate production as carries the code, "1382000002, Comegys 6-7H 1.

Does that help?  Many thanks for responding.

Rick

Thanks, Spring Branch!

Rick I checked Sonris Lite for Sec 6-T19N-R14W and don't see a Comegys well?

skip,

so, why doesn't it show up on sonris 'Shreveport scout details'?

do wells drop off that report when they're reported as completed?

thanks,

jim

That could be so, jim.  The Shreveport Scout Report (and Monroe and Lafayette for that matter) is the last place I would look for well information on SONRIS Lite.

thanks, skip. i don't even have a learner's permit to get me to reports requiring greater user sophistication than sonris lite. jim

That just now clicked with me, TD-P.  In looking at  a plat, I see that there is a William Comegys III listed as an ownwer of the section directly north of S 6, T 19N, R 14W.  His section is listed as S 32, T 20N R 14W.

Wells are named based on surface location (well pad), not necessarily the section or sections being produced. Although this well produces from Section 6 and the north one half of Section 7 in 19N -14W, the surface location is in Section 32 -20N -14W on Comegys land.

Thanks, Skip!

Can anyone tell me why I would be getting a check for production in a section where where I own no minerals?  Could it have to do with "laterals"?

Edted to add:  Thanks again, Skip.  You answered my questions while I was typing!  No need to reply again.  I really appreciate everyone's rapid responses.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
