Blue Steel has been issued no permits to drill as of this date. The only open permit in Livingston is a Frio well by Strand.
Hey has anyone heard of Justiss Oil Comp.? Was told they have a drilling rig or ? Rig 58, on site South of Livingston, LA... About 6 miles or so? Saw on the LA DNR WEBSITE where Strand has a permit...., sec.8/township 8/ range 5..... any new info would be appreciated! Ty

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of) nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
