I hope so Catfish, they have a choke on it and it is producing 360 bbls of water, frac water so they may be low balling it. I don't know what pipeline they are going in???????? I also don't know what kind of frac they put on the well, if anyone knows would like if they posted that information also.
Catfish. This is the first horizontal HA completion in NW. LA. by Samson Contour. If this was CHK or HK or even STR, I'd be more concerned. As it is Samson Contour, I'll wait for some additional completions by other operators before forming an opinion on this area of the Play.
Is anyone leasing in this area, I know BEUSA was and Petro Hawk is leasing in Doyline.
What are the offers in the Doyline area from PetroHawk?
My land is around the state park and I got $3000 and 1/4 for a 3 with 2 year option.
Thanks for the info. Were you leased recently?
Yes 4 months ago, There is word from the land owner that petrohawk will be drilling a well in sec 18 17N-10W with in the next month. I have not seen a loc.
I went by the BEUSA well SN 240643 this weekend and they were setting up the rig. The Petro Hawk well SN 240540 in sec 33 17N-10W is drilling.
thanks terry for the update, keeping my fingers crossed for some good webster wells.
cc a few things Lessors should know before Leasing or renewing any Lease with Petrohawk... Go to the 'Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission' Website Home Page and download 'The Ark. Leasing Manual'. It's 39 pages. It has all the common leasing clauses for land and mineral leases. It starts at page 25 and goes to page 39. These are standard leasing Clauses. Demand that all these Common Leasing Clauses to be in your Lease. With these clauses the land owner and mineral owners will be happy. Without these common leasing clauses - it is a guarantee there will be unhappiness somewhere in your lease. There will be alot of stuff in small writing that will be added to your lease. Well injection is a big no no. They'll use that well as a waste dump. Arkansas is stopping this practice. One well per wellpad location. Any more wells has to be renegotiated. Wellpad Location and Access Road Location to be specified and agreed to by you. Wells and roads are to be placed at a ' Reasonable Location" - that is the law. The oil and gas companies are required to do this and it can't be just because it's good for the gas company. I've seen a few companies ignore the fine print. But of all those companies out there - Petrohawk will hold you to your leases - line by line... Cary
Cary. Why would a mineral owner in Webster Parish, LA. need to review or download leasing information for the state of Arkansas????? It is materially different from that of LA.
