Got a rig moving question

I got my re- permits for sec 17 16n 15w. the wolley 17h rig is going there. When they are done with the wolley rig will they just move that rig to section 8 since its right there with the double pad. I was told that my prop in section 17 is bordering my property in sec 8. Am I making any sense? Can les or skip or any other pro give me the lowdown on my property in sec 17 and sec 8 16n 15w. Thanks,

YLO, yes I see the rig has spudded the Woolley 17 H1 Well. It is possible Chesapeake could decide to drill Section 8 next but they do not yet have a well permit. Of course, Chesapeake could get one before Woolley well reaches TD.

They will probably wait till the Wooley 17H has been fraced, is flowing to sales, and the pad cleaned (cleared) up before they move a rig in to drill Section 8. I was told they (CHK) don't like the liability of two wells going at the same time on a double pad because of previous, well documented issues.

I checked sonris and put in that serial number and I did not see that it was spuded. Are we looking at same information. Thanks

YLO, I have other sources of information that shows a 9/1/09 spud date.

Those in the biz utilize proprietary databases far too costly for the casual observer. Rigdata is one that I have used occasionally and I find it to be quite current. SONRIS relies on periodic reporting by the operator. It is not unusual to review a permitted well with no spud date on SONRIS and then check Rigdata and find that a particular rig has been drilling that well for two weeks. SONRIS is a great tool for interested mineral owners but it has it's limitations. Just check Les b.'s Drilling Rig group and compare the rigs listed as drilling against SONRIS. I am glad you have a well to be excited about but suggest that you accept as unavoidable the time lag in the SONRIS well scout reports. If you absolutely can't wait, you can always ask Les. He's better than a subscription to Rigdata. LOL!
