THE GHS HAYNESVILLE SHALE RIG TRACKER.

I'll update each week so we can follow the rig count.  I am only counting rigs drilling the Haynesville and Bossier formations.  Many industry rig numbers are for the "Haynesville Area",  however they may defined that, and includes wells drilling other formations.

Scroll down for each new weekly count.  I am deleting the January 26 rig count that I used to start this discussion and replacing it with a running list showing the rig count by state by week.

With three Haynesville directed rigs add for this week, the total of 43 is greater than when the rig report debuted in late January.  Impressive staying power and a good trend going into the new year.

Vine and GEP Haynesville together now have 5 rigs drilling, feel better now Steve?

I am feeling pretty Thankful right now for the renewed demand for NG, and gor the better prices.  Hopefully, in 2021, I’ll actually have some of these rigs drilling in some of my sections.  Happy for what I have, but I’ve got 3 prospective wells in my best area, and 2 permitted but not yet drilled in my 2nd best area.  Those 5 should offset my “day-work” nicely when drilled.

I thought that might make you feel better.  Good news generally.  Good luck with your wells.

Rig count ends the year on a yearly high.  A nice Christmas present for Haynesville mineral owners.

Couldn't live without it

Well, possibly could, but DON'T WANT TO ...!

Please keep it going. It's a great snapshot that we can all understand. Thank you for the work you put into it.
