Skip, in The Caspiana under Caddo there is a completion for Indigo in CV. Is that one of the new horizontals? If so, are the numbers goo (27 barrels of 60 gravity condensate). I don't know about others on here, but I don't understand this type of production. Thanks, KCM
Thanks Jay.Is that well deeper than a regular CV? I was thinking tradition CVs were about 10000 depth
Bossier is the permitted horizon. I've seen the term, "stringer" previously but do not recall running across it anywhere other than the occasional early Haynesville Shale permit. If memory serves a number of the wells using the term were also "non-unitized", as is the KCS well. It is unusual to see any mention of the Bossier formation as every Haynesville Drilling Unit Order I recall included the Bossier interval within the Haynesville depth definition. In those units any Bossier wells drilled would be permitted, drilled, completed and produced as "Haynesville".
Skip, I have noticed several permits by Chesapeake over the last couple of weeks for wells. Do they have any rigs running down here now or are they bringing some in? I have not seen the Drilling Rig Locations Group updated lately. Thanks
Nomac Drilling rig #60 is drilling the Gorman 23-15-11H #1 in Bossier and #59 is drilling the Pattison 12-9-11H #1 in Sabine.
How large is the unit where the Bossier well in sec.1- T22n- R13w is permitted?
Would that be the whole section?
Yes, the whole section, +/- 640 acres.
I wonder if they are going to try leasing the surrounding sections..?
Probably no need to lease surrounding sections. All the surrounding lands appear to be under lease with producing wells which would likely HBP the Bossier rights.
I own a small acreage in sec 11..just under and left of sec 1..on sonris lite I never noticed any producing wells...all are listed as plug and abandoned....what do you mean by HBP Bossier rights?
LOL! You're right PG. There's two discussions going on in this thread. I was thinking of dbob's Bossier Stringer comment. Whole other parish and township. 22N - 13W is definitely not HBP for any formation by the looks of it. Section 1 is the Petro-Chem Pettit horizontal well. They are not the only company interested in the Pettit in north LA.
Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
