I have a small interest in 2 new CULs drilled by Vine. The first month's production was strong, but I'm confused by the production since then. How can you tell in the operator has choked back production intentionally, or if there are problems with the two wells?
Here's the production to date for the two wells.

the allocations aren't my concern - just looking at total production from 1st month through the 4th month for two different CULs (not the same sections, but from the same pad). Shocked that the wells would drop to substantially in 4 months. Is there a way to tell on Sonris if the well has been choked back by the operator as opposed to just seeing the production drop like this?
Thanks for the quick responses. if i emailed Vine landowner relations, would they tell me if these wells are intentionally choked, assuming they aren't shut down as well? In the past, I've had little luck with the landowner providing any information other than royalty payment related info. My assumption is that that group doesn't know what's going on at the well site, just the production numbers they are provided.
Any idea how to get this info from Vine
These links should be live. Click on the serial number to get the API number. The LUW shows all the wells producing in each section/unit.

thanks, Jay. I started a thread about the first of the 3 wells listed below last year because the well had a very unusual decline curve - almost none for the first 18 months. .I will accept that it was an extraordinary well, but the next 2 seem to be the opposite. That's why I'm wondering if they are choked or even shut-in.
2, T9N, R12W. The first well was a CUL drilled 4 years ago. well numbers 753 and 754 were drilled last year.

Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
