I just wish EOG and Torrent would move on planned/permitted wells!
we all want to see more action and less talk with all the leasing coming to an end in our areas!
some are even skeptical that leasing is getting cancelled!
Don't make hasty judgements about leasing. Have a little patience. We are only seeing bits and pieces of the action.
At the cost of these wells, "slow moving" is the rule until operators have some positive track record and a lot more confidence in well results and economics.
Remember that this is an "exploration" play in the AC this time around in Louisiana.
Caution is the word as to operator movement on putting holes in the ground
In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of) nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
