If anyone is bored waiting for the superbowl, there were some pretty interesting wells  drilled in Township 1N, Range 4W in the 90's.  They started out great, but went downhill.  If you would like some reference numbers: #219142, #218184, #219207 and 221184.  Looks like the Crosby well stands a good  chance of being a great well, if they can get the drilling and completion down to a fine science.

Strong wells - production graphs attached 

218184 & 221184 combined as a single lease as to production

486 MBO & 1.98 BCF cum production

219412 had 766 MBO & 2.49 BCF cum production

219207 had 1.11 Million BO & 4.02 BCF

All naturally fractured reservoirs with no stimulation / open hole completions

Note that these wells also IP'd very large water volumes (the problem with the AC in this area)

IP water rates of 848, 920, 1800 & 5800 BW per day

The new Prime Rock well in the SW corner of Section 33 will probably encounter some large water rates - and especially so if they plan to frac the lateral.

I hope that they are planning to have an SWD well on location ready to take produced water.

I know just enough to keep myself in trouble, but I do see that there was a saltwater disposal well drilled in the 90's in same section, township and range, but it was plugged and abandoned in 2016.  #972644

May be cheaper and more effective to drill new one than re-enter an old one.

Ensign Rig 777 was reported as Rigging Up on the AUS C RA:CROSBY 33H #1  Friday with spud set for today (Saturday, March 20).

Ensign rig 777 reported 8 days drilling ahead @ 10,715' on Friday, 3/26.  Well was spud 3/19.

This well is a gutsy move by the operator. As I noted back in February, this is high water cut Austin Chalkl area with initial volumes as high as 7500 bbls per day. Good oil cums (up to 1.1 Million BO and 6.5 BCF from a single short open hole latera) but massive water volumes.

Operator has permitted two SWD's parallel with this AC drilling effort. Both to about 6600' (Wilcox Sands) with one on the Crosby 33H #1 location and another about a mile away (perhaps for another deep AC well).

Assuming success, there will be a LOT of fluid being moved out here. But good for the royalty owners!
