JWC,
Thanks for the news. Devon reports on Wednesday with a conference call. It should be interesting.

Thanks JWC. I really appreciate you posting this information. It is encouraging. Do you post on the East Texas Board also? I think someone in Shelby Co reported they had been approached by someone wanting to lease their acreage. Shelby, San Augustine and Sabine may all get busy and it would be great if we could coordinate the info.

One More Oil Voice:
The Haynesville Lime reported production could be possibly producing from the Norphlet formation.Devon Energy Production Company could have possibly fracd into the Norphlet formation in the Case #3 well in the Stockman Cotton Valley field that is producing over 18 mmcf/day. Evidence from a Texaco well that tested 500mcf/day from the Norphlet south west of the Case #3 well in Nacogdoches County, Texas. Several other wells that Devon have producing at exceptional high rates could possibly be from the Norphlet formation as well. We need to know the facts. This is huge for this area of Shelby, San Augustine and Sabine counties in Texas. Hopefully one or more geologist will confirm one way or the other and report the facts.

More Oil Voice News:
Devon Energy Production Company has completed several wells in the Stockman Field in Shelby County, Texas in the Cotton Valley Haynesville Lime section as per their completion reports with the Texas RRC. The Case #3 well is producing at a rate of more than 18MMCF/Day. It looks like this is going to make Shelby, San Augustine and Sabine counties very attractive for all of the large independents and possibly the majors. This is major gas production for Texas gas wells. Several companies are building locations as fast as they can to get their share of gas from this play. This is exciting.

Got this from the Oil Voice Web site: Best news I have heard in a while:

Companies Busy in Shelby County, Texas
Burk Royalty, BP, Encore, Devon, XTO, Noble, Petrohawk, Newfield and others are real busy in Shelby County, Texas. One would have to actually go and drive around to see all of the activity to grasp all of it. Drilling rigs, pipelines, locations and lots of other things that are going on. This is the tip of the iceberg. This play will continue to the deeper part of Shelby, San Augustine and Sabine County, Teaxs.

This CBT ticker cabot corp. Cabot Oil and Gas, ticker COG, reports earnings on 2/12/2009. Two totally different companies in two totally different businesses.
