A basic, dumb question. When will I hear anything from anyone about leasing my lands?

Out of curosity, I wonder if some of these big businesses like GM own the mineral rights where the plants are located?

I live in Springridge near the Hwy 169 and Hwy 789 junction. A land man came by last week and asked about an address he couldn't find. Of course I questioned his interest and he said "Chesapeake wanted this area cleaned up." There has been a lot of activity at the end of Elaine Drive but nothing more than a lot of 4 wheelers going in and out. I know a lot of people in my neighborhood have leased to different companies and it seems Chesapeake may have bought out the leases. I have also heard they are putting in a compressor station near us. If anyone has any new information or know of any plans I would appreciate them sharing.

Hey JHP I live in section 24, where exactly are they going to test? We heard strange noises Saturday near Grawood church. They are putting in a pipeline behind our house in section 25. It starts way back in the high lines off Keithville-springridge road and will run behind Keith rd parallel until right before the curve at Metro Dr.

Well finally settled and received the $ in our accounts on Monday. $20K & 25% royalty, 3 year lease with no extension. Well aware we could have held out for more but Natural Gas is taking a beating on Wall street and for 17 acres this is a nice pay day. Good luck to all of you.

They are going to test in Section 26 township 16 North range 15 west. I was approached yesterday about giving Cajun Exploration permission to test. This is off of Colquitt Rd. In Keithville.

got tax bill.showed $7600.00 worth of improvements. no improvements were made, but taxes increased. looks like the assessor wants to get ahead of the shale boom. typical government move.
