Mr Skip,  I would appreciate the name of the firm and your attorney if acceptable and if we need to take this off line, let me know.  I prefer client referrals over cronie recommendations.  We're trying to find efficient experienced help and what you've described seems to fit our selection criteria.  Thank you, sir!

I do not have have any attorneys to recommend in the vicinity of Alexandria.  I suggest that you ask Dion Warr and Two Dogs to see if they can refer you.  Keep in mind that experienced O&G attorneys negotiate for clients regardless of location.  My O&G attorney, located in Shreveport, has clients in practically all areas and plays in the state.  He is a Council Member of the Louisiana Mineral Law Institute, Paul M. Hebert Law Center, LSU.  There are a number of experienced and capable O&G  lawyers in his firm.  The firm predominantly represents mineral owners, not energy companies.

Due to the complexity and unfamiliarity with negotiating a lease of this nature, are there any experienced O&G attorneys in the Alexandria area?  Any suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks!

Guys, please don't overlook the fact that there are vitally important lease terms beyond the bonus and royalty.  Get horizontal and vertical Pugh clauses added at a minimum.  You should get agreement to include the basic protective and beneficial addendum clauses before negotiating or accepting the bonus and royalty terms.  Anything beyond the basics will likely require a lot of acres in a good location.

We just had our 9th Halcon rep. Contact us, all are still $500 3/2. Same as the one Pride rep. We are 10,300 ft from the well in Poland.

Pride is working for EOG. I got my information from a landowner that lives on Palmer Chapel road that signed with an oil company. As for as a well....I haven't heard when they might drill in that area. But I think that you can't formerly announce a well that is going to be drilled until that year. So after the first I expect you will see several. The same source that told me about the Latanier well said that there will be about four from the same company.

i think pride is eog.  eog would be as good as halcon.  both are excellent companies. o guessing they don't budge, b/c broadway is very slow, has problems and hasn't produced yet.  lambright is still months away from construction.  patience.

we could find no permit for palmerchapel or latanier.  was the info from a landman trying for a lease? 

there are lots of permits in grant parish and they might be looking for the wilcox.?

I didn't get the name of the outfit paying $1000 an acre but people on Palmer Chapel are getting that and the same outfit is working the Effie area. But they say that there is a pool of oil right there (Palmer Chapel) and they don't need to frack so it will be easier to get to the oil.  I hope you're right, blackjackjackson about it growing..... been waiting for that to happen but Pride and Halcon sure don"t want to budge.
