EP Energy (NYSE:EPE), an independent exploration and production company, disclosed in a regulatory filing that it has entered into a purchase and sale agreement with Covey Park Gas LLC to sell substantially all of their assets located in the Haynesville and Bossier shales. The total consideration is $420 million in cash, subject to customary adjustments. Covey Park Gas delivered into escrow a deposit of $21 million in connection with the execution of the agreement.

Hey Kathy... Covey Park got our PV minerals too.  So far they've been good operators.

Kathy, I suspect what CP sees is a bargain based on the proved reserves.

kathy... will you post or send some details on this wells.  Family has land leased by CP in southern Harrison and northern Panola.
