Very interesting read, Thanks
Rock, is there a name for that clause ?
John EBR
Don't get screwed clause
Please forgive me
Cost Free Royalty Clause
However, the language contained in a clause is much more important that knowing what it is called.
You got that right scout.
Let's see how the next months look since I believe that they have set up artificial lift system
What ever you call it and however you do it, don't let the words "at the wellhead" appear anywhere in a lease, including the addendum.
Perhaps that should be the "addendumb".
A contract with very much "addendumb" added to it probably needs rewritten.

John EBR
I know you already signed, John. And my main thing is that there are no experienced O&G attorneys participating in this discussion. So any opinions you receive are basically unfounded speculation.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
