Rock Man-can you post the link to the Houston Chronicle article, I looked at there site but didn't see it . Thanks
Boy Skip, you are Johnnie-on-the-spot. Thanks for the link, appreciate it !
We just learned yesterday that Cypress Energy sold our acres along with another 7,000 acres in EBRP to Bayswater Fund III-A, LLC and Bayswater Resources LLC of Denver, Colorado. Cypress said Bayswater would be the operator. Would anyone have any comments about Bayswater.
Thanks,
John EBRP
John, you might want to think about starting a separate discussion for Bayswater Resources in order to make the subject easier to find. There is no operator listed with the state by any name starting with Bayswater. There is a website (seemingly under construction) with very sparse information for Bayswater E&P. Link follows.

The company can always apply to be a LA operator or they could hire a contract operator for the actual drilling. 7,000 acres in this play is nothing but a decent start. They must have more or plan to acquire more.
Bayswater is active player in Permian Basin - drilling 10,000' horizontals chasing Wolfcamp in Midland Basin.
Management team has a lot of high end experience.

Skip - I found a back door to this info on their management team
Rock Man, Cypress (Bayswater) leases joins BlackBrush North Cheneyville SUA on South and East...
I wonder if Bayswater is a non op WI partner in the Blackbrush block? Or that they have some sort of a Joint Operating Area (JOA)?
But could be totally independent operations competing for the same turf?
Thanks for pointing this out - I don't have a "mental map" to put these blocks together
Good to know they have Wolfcamp experience.
Agree - would hate to have operators here who are horizontal drilling and completion novices
Totally independent operations competing for the same turf...Pertro Guard(MRO) behind them and Torrent on the west side of BlackBrush...
Nice to see some competition in the area

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
