Jed, I have 70 acres in T16N-R10W-S22 and have an offer for $15K/25%. I have several tracts in Bienville, but live outside of New Orleans. I don't know any details of what's actually going on up there except what I read on gohaynesvilleshale. Do you by any chance have any phone numbers for Petrohawk, Chesapeak, XTO, Acadian, or anyone leasing in Bienville? My family (and heirs) have a number of tracts (some leased; some not) up there, and would like to see if anyone is interested. Thanks for any help... Brooks

Petrohawk was refered thru a friend as my land extends into Webster. The agent told me he had orders to go southwest from Webster. I was contacted out of the clear blue from Chesapeake today. Haven't had a chance to respond to them as of yet. It's getting better!!!!

That is great news Jed. I am in 16N 8W Sec 21. We haven't received any offers as of yet. Tell me did you contact them, or did they just contact you.

Jed, I was wondering about your offer. I am in 16N 8W. How close are you to me.

The highest I have heard on signed bonus was 12,500 and 25% in NW Bienville( not Petrohawk). This is up from 4000 and 25 a couple of weeks ago. It's not far from Elm Grove to NW Bienville. Petrohawk has been the only major leasing and thats why it has stayed so low. Sit tight!!! the gas isn't going anywhere.
