Jindal Concerned about EPA Regulation

From his press release

"Unfortunately, proposals to regulate greenhouse gasses by the Environmental Protection Agency could threaten our continued economic progress. Last week I wrote to the Administrator of the EPA in Washington to object to their new proposals, which would have a chilling effect on refining and production capability in Louisiana and force employers to reduce their workforces or even possibly move their businesses to other countries. We need sensible… Continue

No Time to Relax

I’m getting ready to load up the van for our Christmas drive. Loading up the vehicle became more complicated after marriage, and then even more complicated after the birth of two little ones – girls at that! Of course, my philosophy on packing differs from my wife’s. She’s more into trails. Trails of items ranging from shoe boxes to grocery bags filled with odds and ends, and of course regular luggage. I’m learning to chuckle at it, but I do find myself asking why? Why all this hassle? After… Continue

Obama, Shale Gas, & China

Don't know about you, but I've anticipated the day that Obama would speak to the issue of shale gas and now he has.

"The two Presidents announced the launch of a new U.S.-China Shale Gas Resource Initiative. Under the Initiative, the U.S. and China will use experience gained in the United States to assess China’s shale gas potential, promote… Continue

Such a Tremendous Waste of Our Water Resources

Can't you imagine in some backroom, probably in DC, a bunch of 20 something policy wonks coming up with this brain child, "Here's an idea, let's become reliant on an energy source based in the desert that is dependent upon the use of H2O!"

Here is to all the beltway politicians taking aim at fracking. I don't think their efforts are aimed at protecting the environment, but rather the elimination of all hydrocarbons to fulfill the wants of the their radical… Continue

Royalties for One Acre with Decline Curves Figured in...

Spread Sheet with Decline Curves.xls

A site member put this together, so I thought I'd post here to discuss...

The member explains, "I took Skip's figures for 10MCF, $3.71, 25% royalty, and 1 Acre and backed (via division) each of those to 1 -- 1 MCF, $1, 1% royalty, etc. Then once that is done via that table in A1:F11 (which the user doesn't change), the final column for 1 of… Continue
