Chesapeake has filed for the first Haynesville Unit in T17N-R14W. Past Haynesville Shale activity had bypassed this township due to its metro locale. This had left a void in the middle of maps that was termed the "donut hole". Now we just need to see if they intend to permit a Haynesville Shale well.

Roy, the donut hole being referred to is from old discussions of a grid map that I posted in the first year or so of the HA Play tracking the townships that had existing drilling and production units.

The two donut holes in DeSoto Parish are the lignite mines.
Does it really mean much if they are unitizing sections?
There are sections that were unitized around the doughnut hole that were never drilled..
Mine is one of those....
The even permitted a well in the next section to me and let the permit expire..
I don't think I'd get too excited until the drilling crews shows up..
