Looked on sonris today and seen 5 new apps. Does anyone know if they might be starting to drill again?

Steve, there have been rigs drilling in Sabine parish for months. Even last year. Currently I count 15 live well permits, at least three of which have rigs on them now, and 6 wells either waiting on completion or in completion operations. That's doesn't include any newer unit or alternate unit well applications.
THANKS SO MUCH.
Skip I am in sec 6 La minerals 6 ser # 241778. Sonris showed permitting 250638 and 250637 on 11-17-2017.
Does it look like they will being going north .GEP has my lease now.
Also my question is, will I have to be notified if they would decide to drill again on my section?
Thanks so much
Steve
Steve, there is no requirement for a company to provide you notice for a well permit or the arrival of a rig. Notice is only required for the formation of drilling units and for the spacing of alternate unit wells. Are you asking if the two new well permits you list will be drilling their laterals on a south to north direction, or are you asking if GEP Haynesville will be drilling wells in sections north of the two new wells?
I guess and hoping south in sec 6? I think GEp will be drilling. They are the one who's name is on the app.
You are in a Vine operated unit in the Grogan Field. Vine has some current development activity in the Grogan Field but nothing covering your section at this time.
Not directly on point, but I have a small interest in a CUL drilled by GEP/Vine in 2-9n-12W, Sabine Parish. This is the second HA well for the section, and I was a bit dismayed that my unit interest declined by almost 50% since it is a CUL. However, this well has now been in production for more than 12 months, and the production has declined by less that 10%. At least to me, a shocking and delightful development in HA wells.
This is the first CUL i have tracked. Do they generally hold up this well?
So far, and the data set is still small, the decline rate is flatter which is an improvement. I haven't reviewed any wells that have 12 months production history with a decline anywhere close to 10%. I'll try to look at your specific well when I get back in town. Maybe Jay will see your reply and give us his opinion.
Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
