Ensign rig 777 reported 15 days drilling ahead @ 13,797' on 4/1.
TVD as per permit is 14.700' - probably have started drilling curve to get set for the lateral part of the hole.

Just checked the details in SONRIS - as of 4/1 report, they had already set 7" casing and swapped out to OBM and were drilling ahead in the curve to get to the lateral.
So only less than 700' in a week means (to me) that they are having some issues out there.
Ensign rig 777 reported 29 days drilling ahead at 15,326' on 4/16.
839' in a week - way slow / should be in the horiztonal part of the hole.
Good hz drilling progress is 1000'+ per day
Ensign rig 777 reported 36 days drilling ahead at 18,780' on 4/23. 3000' to go if drilled to permitted MD.

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
