< 10mins in at this point but nicely done Skip & thx for sharing it.

Skip, an excellent interview.  You need to do more.  You are unbiased yet knowledgeable in the information you provide.

Good interview! You should do more as your knowledge is excellent. Have you ever thought of doing your own videos?

BUT ... Is that a Dickie's work shirt you are wearing?  Change it.  Go for the mature executive look. Call me and we will discuss staging. My stepdaughter does staging in real estate.

Seriously Skip you could do a very good video blog on O&G. Put it up on YouTube and you might have a lot of new clients.

HANG,  that is one of my many Dickie's jump suits.  I have reached the age where comfort is more important than style!  LOL!

Great interview, Skip! My wife and I have mineral rights in Webster Parish, which we inherited from my wife's mother and aunt. Is Webster within the seven parishes that contain all of the Natural Gas you are referring to, Skip?

My wife's grandfather was Bruce Duke who passed away back in the 70's. He was great friends with Aubrey Sanders, who was my primary contact, and friend, until he passed away a few years back. He would always call me and provide updates on new ells being drilled, and more. Still have voicemails from him. :) I'm still in contact with his daughter, but would love to connect with you Skip at some point as we have no other contact about the goings on in Northwest Louisiana.

Best regards,

J.B.

Thanks, JB.  Only the southwest corner of Webster has economic Haynesville Shale as far as we know at this point.  If you look at a map you will see that a small finger of Webster extends south between Bossier and Bienville parishes.  Here is a list of Webster Haynesville Shale (HA) wells.  There are few.  In the first column, the number 10 denotes a completed and producing well.  03 is an expired, undrilled permit and 31 is a well that has started drilling but has not yet been reported complete.  01 is a live permit that has not been drilled.  The text in blue are links which you can click on.

Us old timers remember Aubrey and miss him.  You can go to my personal page for my contact information.

Thanks for the quick reply! That makes sense, Skip. It looks like our mineral rights are within the area of the Brown Dense Smackover Formation. Specifically in the Shongaloo area. Do you know anything about this area?

Here's two of the wells that come to mind.:

Yes, Aubrey was a mountain of knowledge. He was close friends with my wife's grandfather Bruce Duke.

We followed the Brown Dense play closely back in the day.  Southwestern was an experienced horizontal development company but their wells were not economic.  The discovery well, which was a vertical, is very interesting and I think TMR is now the operator.  The Southwestern wells are now operated by Velandera Energy Partners.  Velandera has never drilled a Brown Dense well but continues to operate the ones that Southwestern drilled.  The text in blue is a link that will take you to additional data.

The Lithium Connection to Shale Drilling

Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…
