The Tyler paper reported that Forest Oil had completed the T J Taylor 15T 10 miles south of Jefferson. It was drilled to 11,415', potentialed 150,000 cf in the Bossier Shale. Is this a viable well?

We had another offer from Devon today. $500 lease bonus/per acre and 1/5 royalty. Have joint mineral rights on many properties mostly in Marion County. Surprisedly, he was not calling about our largest and least confusing one, near Gray, Texas on Highway 49 about a mile and half from the Louisiana border.

We told him his offer wasn't even warm and he urged us to counter. We told him when he has a somewhat respectable offer to get back with us.

Aaron, there was a Marion County group under East Texas, but now we have our own web page. You might want to read all the posts on that former page, but, we're hoping, everyone with concerns in Marion County will move over here. Will make it simpler to have our own page.

Also, there is a discussion forum above these comments. Be sure to check there and perhaps we should have more descriptive titles in that area. We've been going with "Marion County: as that distinguished us on the East Texas pages.

Welcome,
Marilyn

Seems that there may be more than one Marion County Discussion group. I have acreage in Marion County north of jefferson. Acreage is within 5 or 6 Abstracts. The first of 3 newly permitted locations has been drilled by Wagner Brown LTD. I attempted to contact one of their representatives but have yet to hear back from them. If I can get the completion results somehow I will pass them along. The wells are just north of Karnack.

Marilyn, BTJ I will post the location of my properties Aug27.
With my Tobin map I can cross reference where Drilling Permits are being issued. Unfortunately we will not know where leasing is heading or likely to head unless everyone who posts is willing to identify their property when they are contacted. We will definitely need more input from members.
