Initiatives at LSUS and the Oil and Gas Industry

We are very excited about the Haynesville Shale and all it has in store for our future.

We will be offering a Certificate in Petroleum Land Management in January 2009. This program is 80 hours in length but is subject to change as many advisors have asked that participants complete the Notary Public class. An Unpopular View

I have always felt we are responsible for ourselves because we really cannot depend on others to be responsible for us. When I was sixteen I quit school, packed my bags and left home. I ended up homeless for a while then was blessed with a son who made me want to be more. My son and I were on food stamps and lived in government subsidized housing and I received Pell Grants when I finally got my GED and started college. Held Under Old Leases

There are those of us that have been leased for years. And have watched as wells in our units were drilled, and then maybe produced for a while and then the checks slowly stopped coming. Or maybe a well was a good one, and we found that the unit lines were changed, (without notice) and we were no longer part of that unit which had a good producing well. From Capitol Hill - H.R. 6709

Here is a piece of legislation you may be interested in.

The purpose is "to greatly enhance the Nation's path toward energy independence and environmental, energy, economic, and national security, by amending Federal policy to increase the production of domestic energy sources..."

Caddo Section 27, T16N-R15W

Has anyone heard anything about the portion of this section where the minerals were owned by the state? i was told there had been a lawsuit filed, but not knowing the name of any plaintiff, I have not been able to locate.

Shelby County Pipeline

On a 16" pipe, with a 50 Foot right of way, what are the prices paid for a rod?

The company is Embridge. I understand smaller pipelines running from wells on my property, or in the unit, where I would be dealing with Devon, would be less per rod, because of my lease with them, but on a outside company wanting to cross my property, what are some of the damages paid for different things.
