Contacted to negotiate Mineral Lease

I received a letter today from Clayton Petroleum LTD., retained by Cheasapeake Louisiana, to discuss purchasing of mineral rights for my property (1.94 acres) in Section 9, T16N-R15W. Approximately 80% of section had been secured last year; they supposedly missed the top left corner of the section (approximately 140+ acres). A pad had been prepared last year in our section, scheduled to begin drilling this past January but were delayed due to negotiations for pipeline right-of-way… Continue

buying royalities

recieved an offer to buy 50% royalty interest for our 865 acres in Desoto parish near Logansport. we currently have a 70% stake in the mineral rights. the offer was in the mid nine hundred thousands. just wondering if that is a low mid high offer? I know selling some of your royalty interest sounds crazy, but the news is all over the place about prices, overseas cheaper gas, capping wells, etc. thanks-Thomas

Cottonwood Fluff?

Cottonwood fluff blowing in the wind..

It makes me think of Dandelion wish flowers. A child closing their eyes tightly making their wish as they blow the fluff into the air. An innocent desire released into the universe. A hope from the heart let loose to the world. When I see cottonwood fluff it reminds me of this dandelion ritual. Sometimes when we grow into adults we forget that we can still hope. We can still dream and experience the joys that our hearts knew as children.… Continue

WHAT IS YOUR MOST DREADED CHORE OR TASK AROUND THE HOUSE?

This morning I made a list of chores that need to be done around my home. It made me think that some of you may have a task that you absolutely hate doing. I hate unloading the dishwasher. I can load it all day long but dread the time when I am out of clean dishes. Good thing that I don't do much cooking these days! My husband hates taking out the garbage. He is perplexed by the amount of refuse we have and swears that I must go to the neighbors and beg for their garbage!

18 to Life............ What will your legacy be ?

This year, while hurriedly speeding by, has been one of the best and yet worst that I can remember. While there have been many good things that have happened, the bad seems to constantly push the envelope in regards to keeping the scale leaning in that direction. While the hope of financial blessing from the HS still looms strongly in the background, it no longer has the hold on my life that it once held. I wouldnt be completely honest if I said it didnt matter at all, but I can say that we… Continue
