Pre Conference Notice (What the heck does it say and what the heck does it mean).
I’m going to try to lay out what the things on a pre conference notice mean in simple terms to a layman (from a layman). If I get it wrong, please correct me. If it is a nuance difference that is only useful to those of us that love to pick apart every lease clause and obsess over everything oil and gas, please be kind and post it somewhere else. Let's keep it simple. I hope that this blog and comments…

Hi Ya'll! I am a Texas native and currently living and working as a General Contractor in Florida. I have a couple of friends in the East Texas/Shreveport area involved in the oil and gas business and would like to become involved myself. I unfortunately do not have any oil and gas experiece per say and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I guess in a nutshell I was looking for potential job opportunities in which I could gain some experience as well as exposure to the oil and gas…

There is 10 acres that is wooded on KIngston and I saw some men (possibly surveyors) spraying the front of this 10 acres the other day. Just wondering if anyone knew of what was going on.

Im in Greenwood and I signed a lease with Petrohawk bonus 19,000 acre 25% royalities. I'm noticing Chesepeak drilling in our area too. As a matter of fact that's about all I see really drilling in our section is Chesapeak. Will we recieve any money off that drilling too if it's in our pool?
Can anyone please let me know how this works??
Thankyou so much

Ok I don't understand last year at this time gas was twice the price as it is now.OK the President was saying we had a shortage and they may have to tap into our reserves,WELL then not 6 months later rigs r droppin like hot cakes just after they find the Haynesville shale . SOO it's not the fact that we have nothing to drill, right? It's there, but yet all these Rigs r sitting in yards all across our country and there workers at home loosing everything they ever worked for.It is just kinda hard…

What wold be a reasonable offer for the 3 acres of land plus the royalty intrest ? > Our small cummunity has been contacted by a lawer wanting to meet with us to disscuss our rights dealing with our existing leases which have been producing for the last 10- 15 years in the hoss, cotton valley, and lower cotton valley. We are a haynesville unit but have no haynesville wells on our sec. yet. I am guessing he wants renegotiate leases even if we have no depth limits. We have not been contacted by our Oil and Gas company concerning Haynesville drilling. Any comments or…

Can't you imagine in some backroom, probably in DC, a bunch of 20 something policy wonks coming up with this brain child, "Here's an idea, let's become reliant on an energy source based in the desert that is dependent upon the use of H2O!"
Here is to all the beltway politicians taking aim at fracking. I don't think their efforts are aimed at protecting the environment, but rather the elimination of all hydrocarbons to fulfill the wants of the their radical…

I was recently offered to lease my mineral rights on 99 acres of land in section 10 23N 08W, by a landsman from Chesapeake OIL. When I looked at sonaris I noticed that there had already been several wells producing section 10 23N 08W. I have 2 questions. Is section 10 23N 08W in the haynesville play the only section 10 23N 08W? Am I due past amounts of royalties from other oil companies who have been producing in my unit for the past 2 years?
