Held Under Old Leases

There are those of us that have been leased for years. And have watched as wells in our units were drilled, and then maybe produced for a while and then the checks slowly stopped coming. Or maybe a well was a good one, and we found that the unit lines were changed, (without notice) and we were no longer part of that unit which had a good producing well. Here is a piece of legislation you may be interested in.



The purpose is "to greatly enhance the Nation's path toward energy independence and environmental, energy, economic, and national security, by amending Federal policy to increase the production of domestic energy sources..."

Caddo Section 27, T16N-R15W

Has anyone heard anything about the portion of this section where the minerals were owned by the state? i was told there had been a lawsuit filed, but not knowing the name of any plaintiff, I have not been able to locate.

Shelby County Pipeline

On a 16" pipe, with a 50 Foot right of way, what are the prices paid for a rod?

The company is Embridge. I understand smaller pipelines running from wells on my property, or in the unit, where I would be dealing with Devon, would be less per rod, because of my lease with them, but on a outside company wanting to cross my property, what are some of the damages paid for different things. Proof of lot size for oil lease.

Got a call from my oil lease group people. They told me My title had cleared and that I needed to come sign a W-9. I ask how much property they showed I owned. It was for about HALF of what I have. Guess they went by my Deed. The Deed stated That I owned lot 18 and half of lot 19. It gave measurements of each side of lot 19 in feet and stated how many acres.. Nothing for lot 18. So now I have to prove to the oil company that I do own lot 18. I thought they checked everything out at the court… Continue

From the Midwest to Claiborne!

I no longer live in Claiborne but continue to stay on interested in issues, friends, etc. as best I can.

My question is simply this: Do you believe the HS will really reach Claiborne and if so, to what degree?

A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Sign The Letter Of Intent

I have been working since May for my area. I went door to door and talked to folks in my section about mineral rights and the need to collectively bargain. I had meetings in my living room then moved them to my yard when there were too many to fit into the house. J. Messenger natural gas well along I-49 in northwest Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana

08/24/2008... Went by this natural gas well today about 6-PM and a natural gas flame could be seen from an approx. 30 foot pipe.
