I thought this information might help someone.
East Texas residents just won an 11-year battle against noise and pollution from a natural gas compression station.
From The Paris News
County residents win 11-year-old lawsuit
This took place in Lamar County where a jury has turned the page on an 11-year-old battle by 12 county residents who filed the case in 1998.

When there is a downturn in the job market, experts advise get more education and to get out and network with people in your industry. An AMERICAN RIGHT OF WAY ASSOCIATES, INC. (ARA) class allows you to do both. They also have a heaping dose of Lagniappe to add, but I’ll get to that a little later.
I attended the AWA Right of Way (ROW) class held January 24, 2009 at the Petroleum Club in Shreveport. I’ve attended many educational seminars for Real Estate, Title and Mortgage. I have… Continue

My family has leased our property in DeSoto Parish to Bridas Energy and we have
been receiving checks for the two wells on our property for a few years.
Recently we were contacted by someone to lease our acreage
for $500 an acre with 25% royalty. They want permission to go deeper
than our current lease allows.
Two questions: Is this a good offer? And can you lease your
property to another energy company, even though Bridas
holds the current… Continue

I came to the sight with some background knowledge. I’ve leased before and thought when I leased this time it was… Continue

Just recently my newest buddy, or the master of this sight Haynesville, asked if I would be interested in writing a blog. Haynesville never forgetting any of the small details reminded me of the fact that my farther (who was journalist and cartoonist) may have passed this gene on to me. Of course people on this site have come to terms with the fact that this did not happen. It's not because my farther didn't try, he did. Dad would always gently pop me on the back of the head, ok, ok, he would… Continue
