From his press release
"Unfortunately, proposals to regulate greenhouse gasses by the Environmental Protection Agency could threaten our continued economic progress. Last week I wrote to the Administrator of the EPA in Washington to object to their new proposals, which would have a chilling effect on refining and production capability in Louisiana and force employers to reduce their workforces or even possibly move their businesses to other countries. We need sensible…

Almost five years ago now, I was a frequent poster on a forum about the movie, The Passion of the Christ. I decided to try and emulate C. S. Lewis' magnificent Screwtape Letters. (I am sure I shall probably have to apologize to him profusely when we do meet someday.) Below is what I posted then.

I’m getting ready to load up the van for our Christmas drive. Loading up the vehicle became more complicated after marriage, and then even more complicated after the birth of two little ones – girls at that! Of course, my philosophy on packing differs from my wife’s. She’s more into trails. Trails of items ranging from shoe boxes to grocery bags filled with odds and ends, and of course regular luggage. I’m learning to chuckle at it, but I do find myself asking why? Why all this hassle? After…

"Haynesville" the Movie is now available in our
internet store. If you haven't seen the trailer, scroll further down.
I have seen this documentary, and I was impressed. Mr. Kallenberg did a tremendous job capturing the dynamics involved with a shale play. I truly believe that this movie can change the way this nation looks at energy. This movie is not only for those involved in…

I saw this

Here's the list...
1. Louisiana
2. Hawaii
3. Florida
4. Tennessee
5. Arizona
6. Mississippi
7. Montana
8. South…

Has anyone been contacted from Global Geophysical Services for a seismographic survey? I've received a letter from them asking for permission to do this survey on our land, basically surface rights only for one year. They are offering $25 per acre and claim that there will not be any damage to the land, just 3.5" holes that they plan on filling when they are finished. Are there any negative consequences to signing this and does the compensation seem fair?

A 7 percent jump for natural gas futures occurs during energy trading on Dec. 17 as the Energy Information Administration reports a drop for U. S. natural gas supplies. During Dec. 17 morning trading, natural gas for January delivery was up 40 cents, or 7.3%, at $5.86 per million British thermal units. Cold weather in recent days over the northern part of the U. S. is partially responsible for this drop in natural gas supplies.
